    Printed tension fabric

    Large botanical line-work in warm gold on ivory. Reads elegant rather than busy from across a room, and it is the one that suits a black-tie palette.

    Solid fabric

    Plain matte black. The most flattering thing in this list and the least fashionable: bright dresses and dinner jackets both pop off it, and it never dates.

    Pale marble veined in gold. Bright and warm; the safest choice when you do not yet know your colours.

    What people ask us

    What makes a DSLR booth different from the tablet ones?
    A DSLR booth uses a real camera body, a real lens, and an external studio flash. The tablet kiosks you have probably seen use a front-facing phone-grade camera with a ring light. In a bright room the difference is small. In a dim reception hall, which is where every photobooth actually lives, it is the difference between a photo someone frames and a photo someone deletes.
    Do guests get prints on the night?
    Yes. Prints come out in seconds and guests take them home. In practice half of them end up stuck to a fridge, which is the entire point: it is the only party favour anyone keeps.
    Do we get digital copies too?
    Yes, you get every photo from the night, and guests can send themselves a copy on the spot.
    Can we customise the print template?
    Yes. We design the print layout around whatever the night is (your names, a birthday, a bat mitzvah) with the date and your colours, before the event, and send it to you to approve.
    How much space does it need?
    About 10 by 10 feet, plus a little room for the queue, and one standard outlet. We set up before guests arrive and break down after the last dance, so you never see it happen.
    Is the booth staffed?
    Yes. Every booth comes with an attendant who knows photography and loves spreading joy, so guests are looked after and the prints keep coming all night.
    What backdrops can we choose from?
    Gold leaf, Black, White and gold marble, Grey marble, Barn wood and string lights, plus a green screen we can key anything in behind. Most are dye-sublimation prints on stretch fabric rather than the material itself. That is how nearly every backdrop in this category is made, and it photographs beautifully, but we would rather you knew. Pick one on this page and send it with your date.
